You had me at to-go
If only we could this Kitchen across a scale less than zero!!
Almost five months, we had been to Wangs Kitchen, Vandalur to celebrate our dearest friend’s birthday and needless to say, it was quite a memory with decent food. Being right next to the Vandalur Zoo, this restaurant can simply mint away. However, it fails miserably with terrible service and very poor staff knowledge. Our attendant had to call his manager to confirm an ongoing offer!! He didn’t even know what was available. Coming to food which took forever to arrive at our table, it was terrible and everything was either bland or gelatos.
Any special occasion calls for a treat and our friend ended up calling Wangs for around 1900 INR (which was not honestly worth it).
Steamed chicken momo (INR 249) - Pretty decent although I have had better at a cheaper price. The schezwan sauce was good but the chili sauce was just fine.
Crispy chili sesame baby corn(INR 229) – Very saucy and sweet to taste. My roommate hated it so in accord with maintaining peace and harmony in room, I hate them too although it honestly was okay.

Kung Pao Chicken (INR 229) – The next best thing at this Kitchen.

Chilly garlic prawn fried rice and szchewan fried rice |
For Szechwan fried rice(INR 209), we were expecting something spicy but ... all we got was orange-colored rice that was nowhere near spicy.

Dragon Prawn and Pucket fish |
Dragon Prawn ( INR 329) was something to die for, truly while the Pucket fish(INR 329) was quite good.
The food is honestly quite pricey and not worth the extra bucks added with GST. Recently, Wangs Kitchen has some offer going on - Buy one and Get one free. Double check with the attendant for any ongoing offer. If you aren't a fan of Indo-Chinese or not a saucy person, Wangs Kitchen is definitely a no but if you are neither, it's a maybe.
