Cafe Time

Cafes are the best place one could probably imagine when we wish to have a good dinner with our loved ones. Here is where we slowly start drowning in the magic of soothing light music and even the mere thought of being surrounded by magnificent smell of flowers along with two glasses of wine is just impeccable. 

Fortunately, all the above stated views are imaginary in my life since I got to have a great brunch with my friends at this famous cafe joint called 'That Madras Place', Kasthuri Bai Nagar, Adyar, Chennai.

The prices touch the heights of sky but it got compensated by the incredible taste of food. The cafe is best known for its pastas and burgers. 
Out of all our orders, jalapenos mac 'n cheese pasta topped the list.

Any cheese lover will wipe up the plate in no time since the macaroni was full of thick creamy sauce along with jalapenos and some veggies. The dish was served along with a toasted wheat bread.

 It's a deep fried crispy chicken coated with honey n chilli sauce and was seasoned with sesame seeds and coriander leaves. Though the quantity was very less but we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The presence of sauce didn't make the dish soggy, but made the chicken to linger in our mouth throughout the brunch.

  • Chicken Schnitzel
The chicken is completely grinded and then flattened, mixed with some amazing spices and then it is dipped in bread crumbs for making the dish crispy. Finally, it is deep fried in oil and served hot. The dish was served with chilli mayo and tomato sauce. This is a must try dish of the cafe since the taste was completely amazing.
