The Great Indian Cracker

Indian cuisine is best known for its spiciness and wide range of innovative dishes.
And when it comes to snack items, nothing could beat the taste of the cruncy masala papad.

Papad,  which is thin and round in shape usually accompanies Indian meals, . The papad flour is given a mix with black pepper and cumin seeds which is then sundried. Finally, the dried papads get a nice oil bath which turn out to be a crunchy delight.
When it comes to masala papad, nothing can beat its toppings which is added at the end. I and my friend got to enjoy the taste of this great Indian cracker at the famous punjabi restaurant named PIND at Velacherry, Chennai.
There were two papads served and on top of which there was a nice shower of onion, tomatoes, green chillis, freshly cut coriander leaves and most importantly bhujiya sev. The plate was very colorful and the papad was so delicate that we could easily finish it off in no time. The toppings make this dish the best evening snack one could ever imagine.
The ambience of the place was really very cool and serene. The seating arrangement is the only disadvantage of this restaurant which makes the customers to wait for minutes especially during the dinner time when the place is very crowded.
