Chocolate monster and the perfect roommate.
Chocolate (n): a delicious cure for a bad day.
Someone once told, “You can’t buy happiness”. (They perhaps have never had a cup of hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows floating on the top.) I hate to contradict but one can always buy chocolates and that’s kind of the same thing.
Chocolate is the food of love and it comes off as no surprise that it is served as dessert (although my roommate and I could help ourselves to servings of chocolate as an appetizer, main course, and dessert. No kidding.) And honestly, what better dessert than a chocolate milkshake.
My roommate decided to tag me along with her in her quest to find the monster shake that has been in headlines and that’s how we found ourselves in Ashvita Bistro, Alwarpet.
The monster shakes come in four wonderful flavors: chocolate, cookie and cream, purple and caramel. After several minutes of waiting (which can be improved honestly), our mouth started to drool overseeing our order arrive in mason jars. Our chocolate milkshake had everything from pretzels, chocolate chips, colorful gems, wafers and dollops of whipped cream on the top hiding the true heroes: chocolate milkshake with ice cream. Trust me, when I say this, it gets super messy while eating. Pretzel was crispy and mildly salty complementing the bitter-sweet taste of chocolate.
We were literally awestruck. This was the best dessert that we could have ever asked for. “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
