I'm the 'Universal Favorite',who am I?

This cannot even be considered as a riddle because the answer is so simple. The dish is none other than the mouth-watering biryani. This traditional dish originated during Mughal Period. Well, it's time to shower the Mughals with zillion vote of thanks for lightening up our lives with such a delightful recipe!!! It is actually the combination of  steamed rice along with some strong and exotic spices which is then cooked to perfection. The aroma itself is irresistible, simply driving everyone crazy. There is a wide range of biryani available across the globe, but in India we have our own versions- Hyderbadi biryani, Lucknowi biryani, Calcutta biryani, Sindhi biryani and Dindigul biryani. In Tamil Nadu, we prefer Ambur biryani and Dindigul Thalapakatti biryani.

One of our personal favorite biryani chain is Ambrocias which is located in Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road,Chennai. The place is known for it's mutton biryani and chicken biryani in Hyderbadi style. They also have vegetable biryani for vegetarian lovers which is no less than the above two. The rice is delicately layered with lot of spices and herbs thus creating a visual treat.
BEWARE of the trespassers like laung(cloves) and dalchini(cinnamon sticks)!!. The dish is served with a non-spicy brinjal curry and onion raita which takes the graph of taste to infinity and beyond.

Apart from this delicious delight, the place also serves a variety of appetizers for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian lovers. Well, for a vegetarian like myself, I can't imagine a better appetizer than a spicy gobi(cauliflower) manchurian. Parboiled gobis, blended with theright amount of sauces  and spices, go for a nice sizzling oil bath. The perfectly cooked gobis are then arranged in a plate and garnished with some freshly-cut spring onions and coriander leaves. The combination is unbeatable.I cannot thank my roomie enough for buying me this dish. Well technically, it was because she lost a bet to me but thanks anyway!

So friends, when will you grab a plate of this heavenly dish???
